Upon a hill in the Shongweni Valley, KZN overlooking the majestic Kirk Falls sits The Shongweni Farmers & Craft Market. Just a short drive meandering through the picturesque cane fields bright and early every Saturday morning from 7am to 1pm you will find a buzz of activity. Our local traders sell everything from fresh produce, deli, food, crafts and art. The market has an ambience like no other, which is complimented by the local talented musicians who perform every week on two stages, we often have the likes of Qadasi and Indeep. The market is a safe space for the whole family to enjoy and spend time together (pets included!), kids can run free and also take part in some of the activities such as The Shongweni Express Train rides, pony rides, merry-go-rounds, jungle gyms, and if you would like to take a walk on the wild side we have a short nature trail. Adults are also welcome to join us in The Standing Room in the main hall where we serve our very own craft beer and gin.
